Chrissy Teigen was offered support by the Duchess of Sussex when she lost her baby son

The 'Lip Sync Battle' star "connected" with the former actress - who suffered a miscarriage last summer - when she reached out and wrote her a touching letter following the sad loss of her and husband John Legend's son Jack in September when she was 20 weeks pregnant

Chrissy insisted Meghan - who is now expecting a baby girl with husband Prince Harry - is a "really wonderful person" and she is amazed when she reads stories about her friend that suggest otherwise.

Speaking on 'Watch What Happens Live', Chrissy told host Andy Cohen: "She's been so kind to me ever since we connected on-- she had written me about Baby Jack and loss, but yeah.

"She is really wonderful and so kind, and just as kind as everyone says she is. And that's why you look at everything and are like, 'My god, what is absolutely wrong with people where they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy when it's just as simple as them being as kind as everybody says they are?'

"So yeah, she's a really wonderful person."

Meghan and Harry - who also have 23-month-old son Archie together - sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year, and though Chrissy didn't watch it when it first aired in March, she admitted she found the pair's revelations, including the duchess' claim she was told she couldn't seek help when she felt suicidal and that a member of the prince's family had questioned their unborn baby's skin colour, to be "eye-opening".

She said: "I think when I ended up watching it, it was like,' Holy s***, this is big.' But I also waited a long time to watch it, so I had already heard so much about it by the time that I got to it. But yeah, it is - I mean, very eye-opening. Very eye-opening."

Though the 35-year-old model - who has children Luna, five, and Miles, two, with John - has spoken to Meghan since the interview aired, she insisted her pal hadn't confided in her anything more shocking than she said on TV.

Chrissy said: "Extra tea? Um, no. Honestly, no. She's been very open about what she's been open with, and I think honestly her truth has been her truth since the very beginning. So, no, I didn't get any extra extra."
