Anthony Mackie is "in love" with Rachael Ray

The 'Falcoln and the Winter Soldier' actor is obsessed with the 55-year-old TV chef and if he was allowed his own personal line-up of Avengers, she'd be at the top of his list

He told People magazine: "This might surprise you. Rachel Ray. I f****** love Rachael Ray. She can cook for everybody. She has her own pots, her own [seasoning] and she's cute.

"She's like a little Dora the Explorer type thing, right? So she can hook it up. And I'm in love, hello?

"So I can be like, 'I'm going to go fight for you girl. I'm going to run out, fight, come back. What's up with that pasta, though?'

The 45-year-old star also chose his friend Jessica from Miami and Wade, his New Orleans-based barber, as well as former US president Barack Obama.

He said of the latter: "I would recruit Obama because everybody like Obama - we need a leader, he would tell us what to do. Then I would get the Incredible Hulk because he's Incredible Hulk - so he'd beat everybody up.

"So those are my Avengers. Very specific reasons."

Anthony's MCU alter ego, Sam Wilson, is the new Captain America and the actor recently admitted he found it "so intimidating" shooting 'Captain America: Brave New World' alongside 80-year-old movie legend Harrison Ford, who is making his debut as Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross.

Speaking to Inverse, Anthony recalled: "The first day was so intimidating.

"I was so f***ing nervous I couldn't remember my lines. He's Harrison f***ing Ford. There is this aura about him. But he dispels that really quickly because he's such a cool guy. He's everything a movie star should be. He would say, 'Let's shoot this piece of s***.' And everybody was like, 'Yeah, let's shoot this s***.'

"We spent a good bit of time together.

"Ross and Cap have always had that relationship, where they were friends and they respected each other, but they always bumped heads. That's their relationship in the storyline."
