    Vince Vaughn joked his children are "not as lucrative" as his acting career

    The 54-year-old 'Wedding Crashers' star received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week, and he was joined by his wife Kyla and their kids Locklyn, 13, and Vernon, 11, in a rare family outing at the emotional ceremony


    As he accepted the award on Monday (12.08.24), he said: "My beautiful wife Kyla, I'm so glad that you're with me on this now, I'm so grateful for you and these beautiful kids and for all the laughter that we share together.

    "As much as all this means, Vernon and Locklyn, you guys really do need to know that you guys are the most important thing in the world to me.

    "You're not as lucrative, and you don't give me access to the kind of stuff that this kind of thing does - but with that all being said, you guys are the most important and I love you very much. It's great to have you guys with me."

    Vince isn't often seen with his children in public, and he doesn't always open up about his family life.

    However, at the ceremony he did reveal how fatherhood has changed him over the last decade.

    He told 'Extra': "I think you get more patience, and I think you feel a kind of love you just can't describe.

    "We laugh a lot, we have a lot of fun. I enjoy my days quite a bit with both of them."

    The big screen star was inspired by his own parents, and "the sacrifices they made" for their family.

    He added: "I was so fortunate with both my parents, they worked so hard, just the hours that they would put [in] and the sacrifices they made...

    "I saw them do so much for us and try so hard and not just them but their parents and generations of just sacrifice and work.

    "I always felt lucky for their prayers and support."

    Meanwhile, Vince - who admitted it was "nice to be included in the fabric of the city" by receiving his star - noted that he hopes the Walk of Fame continues to serve as an "inspiration" for young people dreaming of a career in Hollywood.

    He said: "I was definitely one of those when I first got here at 18 walking around and was... impressed by all the stars and names, and hopefully they continue to be an inspiration for all the people that enjoy the movies and television."
