Hulk Hogan was reportedly "instantly disappointed" to be booed by WWE fans

The 71-year-old Hall of Famer, whose real name is Terry Bollea, made a return for Monday's (06.01.25) first live episode of 'WWE Raw' on Netflix but was met with jeers from the live crowd in Los Angeles as he talked about his wrestling legacy and pulled his Real American Beer.

A source told DailyMail.com: "Did Hulk think he was going to be cheered? Especially bringing out Jimmy Hart, who everyone likes, and who was also waving an American flag at the time... that is a resounding yes!

"So, when he came out, got booed, and then went to the back after his promo, he was instantly disappointed that the fans turned on him. But he wasn't p*****!

"Had it not been for him being there to promote his beer, he would have leaned into it a little more, but he just had to get through the promotion of it all."

Hogan has become a divisive and controversial figure in wrestling over the last decade.

WWE cut ties with him in 2015 after a recording of him using the N-word was leaked during his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker magazine, which he won.

He was reinstated in 2018 after apologising, but fans booed him at 'WrestleMania 37' in 2021.

Last year, he was a vocal supporter and campaigner for Donald Trump during his fellow WWE Hall of Famer's successful presidential campaign.

His Real American Beer has landed a multi-year sponsorship deal with WWE, including ring mat corner branding during every episode of 'Raw'.

And the insider has claimed being booed has actually been "great promotion" for his product.

The source added: "This has actually been a great promotion for his beer and as quickly as he was disappointed, he thought about it a little more and is actually excited by how it turned out.

"Hulk is a businessman, and he is going to take advantage of the fans' reaction all the way to the bank."
