Jelly Roll's wife Bunny Xo has blasted "shallow" fans over comments about his weight loss

The Son of a Sinner hitmaker has been open about his fitness drive to get into shape - which coincided with him making his wrestling debut for WWE at SummerSlam in August - after seeing people frequently telling her that her "man is so hot now that he lost all that weight".

In a TikTok video, the podcaster responded: "Is he? 'Cause he's always had the same face. He's always had the same heart, he's always had the same soul.

"I think the most appropriate thing here to say is he looks so much more healthier now that he's lost weight.

"We've gotta stop living in a Shallow Hal world, guys. You might miss out on the best love of your life by judging somebody by their weight."

The 40-year-old music star has lost over 200 pounds during his weight loss journey, and he previously credited simple lifestyle changes with his transformation.

He told Jimmy Kimmel Live! in April: "I'm eating a lot of protein and vegetables and walking."

The singer previously revealed that he dreams of appearing on the front cover of Men's Health magazine.

He said on the Dumb Blonde Podcast: "I wanna be on the cover of Men's Health by March of 2026. That's my new goal. I wanna have one of the biggest transformations."

Jelly Roll - whose real name is Jason DeFord - also suggested that his weight had become an important part of his identity.

He shared: "I think that people who become as big as I became, when they lose the weight, they're kind of ashamed.

"They're so ashamed that they go hide and lose the weight, and then they come back out and they don't really know how to interact with the world."

However, he added that he didn't want people to think he became successful because of his weight.

He said: "What I want the world to know, and I want people to see ... is that I didn't become successful because of my weight. I became successful in spite of it. I somehow managed to be this successful carrying 550 pounds. That's insane."
