Camila Mendes has got engaged to Rudy Mancuso

The Riverdale actress was blown away when she thought she was attending a friend's birthday party on Friday (24.10.25), only to discover her 33-year-old partner had actually planned a bash to celebrate their engagement, and he popped the question in front of their loved ones

A source told People magazine: "She thought she was going to a birthday party for producing partner Rachel Matthews, but it was a surprise engagement party instead.

"Rudy proposed to her in front of their family and friends.

"Around 11 pm, they were still celebrating, so they went to Glen Powell's tracksuit and tequila-themed birthday party."

Camila, 31, showed off her new engagement ring - which features a large diamond on a silver band - as she and Rudy posed for pictures at Glen's party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

A spokesperson for the Do Revenge actress confirmed the couple have got engaged after three years of dating.

The couple fell for one another while filming Musica, which Rudy also directed, in 2022, and they previously reflected on their "intense" connection.

Rudy told People magazine: "Lines began to blur between Rudy and Isabella and Rudy and Cami.

"I don't think either of us expected it to be as intense and move as quickly as it did."

Camila admitted: "It felt like I'd known him for so much longer than I had because we just understood things about each other that I think it's hard for other people to understand."

And the actress admitted there is a clip from the early days of filming, which showed their easy chemistry, even though the footage had no sound.

She said: "We have this two-minute silent footage, because there was no audio on the day, this silent footage of us talking and interacting, and we have it all recorded so you can see that there's this exciting energy and this giddiness.

"It's safe to say there was chemistry from the moment we met, and it certainly was visible onscreen.

The pair made excuses to spend more time together after filming under the guise of work.

She said: "The excuse was always, 'Let's talk about the day.'"

Rudy added: "'Let's prep for tomorrow. Let's get in character.' Bull****."

Camila continued: "It worked out because we were getting to know each other off-set and we got to play out that dynamic in real-time, in front of the camera, as we got to know each other as our characters.

"And so there was this natural kind of charismatic chemistry that existed in that scene."

Camila previously dated Riverdale co-star Charles Melton for a year and a half before their split in 2019.
