Jake Paul suffered a suspected "double broken jaw" during his knockout loss to Anthony Joshua

The 28-year-old social media star posted an X-ray on social media of what seemed to be a double fracture after being stopped in the sixth round of Friday's (19.12.25) fight against the former heavyweight world champion in Miami - although he expressed pride in the resilience he showed in the ring despite being outclassed.

Paul said post-fight: "That was crazy, I had a blast, I'm blessed by God to put on a performance like this. Anthony is a great fighter, I got my a*** beat. But I'll come back and keep winning.

"I've already won in every single way in life, my family, my jaw is broken by the way, it's definitely broke, nice little a*** whooping from one of the best ever to do it.

"Honestly, I'm not surprised, I just got tired, so much handling his weight, I think with better cardio, I could've kept fighting. I did my personal best.

"Oh, for sure, we'll heel the broken jaw, go back, fight people my own weight and go for the cruiserweight world title."

The YouTuber-turned-boxer added on social media site X: "Jaw broken. Heart and balls in tact. Time to rest, recover and return to cruiserweight."

Paul's promoter Nakisa Bidarian revealed that the star drove himself to hospital after the fight and is now facing some time out of the ring to recover.

The Most Valuable Promotions boss said: "We think he broke his jaw. But he's fine.

"He took a shower, he drove himself to hospital. A broken jaw is very common in sports, particularly in boxing or MMA. The recovery time is four to six weeks."

Joshua avoided an embarrassing upset but wasn't impressed with his display in the fight.

The 36-year-old boxer said: "It wasn't the best performance. The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. That has been the request leading up, and that's what was on my mind. It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found the destination."

The British fighter added: "Jake Paul, he's done really well tonight.

"I want to give him his props. He got up time and time again. It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way. It takes a real man to do that.

"Anyone who laces up these gloves, we always say we give them our respect. We have to give Jake his respect for trying and trying and trying. Well done."
