Mabel is stepping in for Lily Allen on the 'Miss Me?' podcast

The 'Smile' hitmaker recently announced she is taking a break from the BBC Sounds show and it has now been revealed the 'Mad Love' singer will be stepping in to present two shows with regular host Miquita Oliver, as will Rizzle Kicks' Jordan Stephens and comic Simon Amstell.

All three guest presenters have close connections to Miquita, with her and Mabel referring to one another as "cousins" because of the closeness of their mothers, Andi Oliver - who is the singer's godmother - and Neneh Cherry.

An announcement for the show noted: "Fun facts: Mabel gave Miquita her bedroom when Miquita went to live with Neneh Cherry as a teenager when she was presenting 'Popworld'; and Neneh helped choose her niece, Miquita's, middle name...so expect more fun reveals when the two come together to present Miss Me? next week."

After Mabel appears on 'Miss Me?' on 16 and 20 January, Jordan will join Miquita on 23 and 27 January.

The presenter-and-musician and his girlfriend Jade Thirlwall recently enjoyed a holiday with the 40-year-old star and her family.

Finally, for the episodes airing on 30 January and 3 February, Miquita will enjoy her first working reunion with Simon since they hosted 'Popworld' together from 2001 to 2006.

Lily - who has reportedly split from husband David Harbour - announced last week she is taking a break from 'Miss Me?' to focus on her mental health.

Speaking on the podcast, the 39-year-old pop star explained: "You're not going to hear me for a few weeks, listeners ... I'm finding it hard to be interested in anything. I'm really not in a good place.

"I know I've been talking about it for months, but I've been spiralling and spiralling and spiralling, and it's got out of control."

She added of her mental health: "I tried, I mean, I came to the Christmas lunch, the 'Miss Me?' Christmas lunch, and I had a panic attack and had to go home.

"I went to see something at the theatre the other night with my [friends] Carlo and Claire, and I had to leave at halftime."

Lily also insisted she won't be turning out for any showbiz events, adding: "I just can't concentrate on anything except the pain that I'm going through."
