Emilia Clarke is "a secret hardcore fashion girl" and has devoted "entire rooms" of her house to her clothing collection

The Games of Thrones star, 38, has confessed she's been obsessed with fashion since she started pouring over copies of Vogue when she was a child but she struggles to make "brave" choices when she's on the red carpet

She told Vogue: "I'm a secret hardcore fashion girl. I have adored fashion for as long as I've been alive, and I've been poring over Vogue since I was, like, six.

"I'm sort of in awe of it all. There are now entire rooms in my house that have become additional wardrobes.

"I care deeply, deeply about clothes. I bloody love it ... Being brave on the red carpet is a difficult thing to do. It's a totally different arena to fashion week, and sometimes, you don't get the right opportunities. That's why I love shooting editorials. I get to be immersed in something mental."

Emilia went on to admit she loves going to fashion week shows but she still feels "like a tourist".

She added: "I've come to learn over the years that I'm a tourist in this world ... My publicist would say that it's 'a mutually beneficial' thing for me to be photographed here [at Paris Fashion Week].

"But I do it because I love fashion. Breathing the same air as all these people who have put an inordinate amount of work in is a treat. I mean I clearly go weak at the knees for a coat."

Emilia previously shared the best fashion advice she's ever been given is to buy clothes and then get them tailored to the perfect fit.

She told Harper's Bazaar: "The best piece of fashion advice I've ever been given is to get stuff tailored. I'm five foot two, and it's a problem because nice clothes are usually designed for tall people. What we wear matters so much: it can transform your mood and make you feel different."

She added: "I've also learnt a lot about beauty, mostly from my mum. She always told me not to pluck my eyebrows. They're strong and they're here to stay."
