Vanna White has secretly gotten married

The Wheel of Fortune letter-turner announced she had tied the knot with construction and development businessman John Donaldson in a private ceremony - more than a decade after they started dating in 2012 - with a sweet Instagram photo carousel post on Wednesday (21.01.26).

Vanna, 68, captioned a sweet picture from their special day, as well as shots of the smitten pair over the years, with: "Surprise! We got married!

"John and I have been in love for more than a decade, and a little while back, we wanted to make it official in a private ceremony.

"We're excited to share this new joyful chapter in our lives with all of you! Love, Vanna and John."

The star - who met John in 2012 after a friend brought him along to one of her barbecues - and her husband received lots of congratulatory messages in the upload's comments section.

Vanna's 31-year-old son, luxury real-estate agent Nikko Santo Pietro - whom she has with her 79-year-old ex-husband, film producer George Santo Pietro - penned: "Congrats!! (sic)"

TV personality Kathy Hilton, 66 - who has been married to 70-year-old businessman Rick Hilton since 1979 - wrote: "Congratulations!!!! Rick + I are so happy for you both! (sic)"

And Overboard actress Irena Medavoy, 67, typed: "I am so happy for you both. Love to you amazing people. I love you."

Meanwhile, Vanna's fans also wished the couple well.

One person commented: "Oh my goodness! I'm so happy for you both. Congratulations."

A second user referenced Wheel of Fortune with: "You solved the puzzle. We're happy for you both."

And a third supporter commented: "More precious than winning the million on @wheeloffortune! Congrats! (sic)"

In October 2023, Vanna - who had instantly fallen in love with John after she met him at one of her barbecue events in 2012 - revealed why they had not gotten married after years of dating.

She explained to People: "I mean, we've been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married. Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he's the one. He knows I'm the one.

"We don't really talk about it, but you never know. I mean, I guess we could, but in my eyes and his eyes, we are married."

Revealing the secret to their long-lasting relationship, Vanna added: "[John] is the male version of me. We really are very similar. We get along so well. He's easy. He's easy, and he lets me be me, and I let him be him."

The TV personality and John have both previously been married, with Vanna being with film producer George Santo Pietro from 1990 until they split in 2001.

Vanna and George - who finalised their divorce in 2002, citing irreconcilable differences - have two children together, Nicholas "Nikko" and 28-year-old daughter, tattoo artist Giovanna "Gigi".
