    Queens Birthday traffic is in full force


    In Auckland, heavy traffic is in the usual spots - State Highway one in Takanini, Greenlane, the Northern Motorway and State Highway 20 in the Mangere area.

    Long queues are building in the northbound lanes of State Highway One at the Johnstones Hill tunnels near Puhoi - the main route to holiday spots north of Auckland.

    Auckland motorist Ben Gibson is heading north for the weekend.

    He says traffic is clearing after Wellsford.
