    Police are seeking witnesses to a hit and run in the Bay of Plenty town of Te Puke yesterday that left a cyclist with serious injuries


    The cyclist was hit about 12.30pm on the Te Puke Highway near Collins Lane.

    The vehicle didn't remain at the scene and drove off in a westerly direction towards Papamoa.

    Police believe the vehicle may have some damage.

    They haven't provided any other details about the vehicle involved.

    Anyone with information is asked to ring Police on 105.
