    Part of a state highway in Otago is blocked after a big crash


    It happened on the Lawrence-Waitahuna Highway, west of Bloy Road, just before 11 this morning..

    Police say it appears two cars are involved, and four people are hurt, including one in a serious condition.

    A spokesperson says State Highway 8 is completely blocked and traffic's being diverted along Bloy Road.

    Motorists are asked to postpone travel if possible and expect delays.
