A judge has described Kiri Allan's Wellington car crash as relatively serious - despite causing no injuries

A judge has described Kiri Allan's Wellington car crash as relatively serious - despite causing no injuries

The former Justice Minister crashed into a parked car on Wellington's Evans Bay Parade in July last year.

She blew above the legal limit for breath alcohol, but it was low enough to not warrant a criminal charge.

Allan's lawyer confirmed in Wellington District Court today she pleaded guilty on charges of careless driving and refusing to accompany a police officer.

Judge Brooke Gibson said Police sought more than 5000 dollars reparations.

He says Allan will pay that - and had previously pleaded guilty to the careless driving charge.
