    A man's been arrested after fleeing Police and crashing on State Highway 6 near Invercargill last night


    He fled from officers in his vehicle about 5pm - Police gave chase, but abandoned it when the man's driving deteriorated.

    It ran over spikes about 6pm on State Highway 6, south of Winton and then crashed into a ditch on McKenzie Road.

    Police say the man received minor injuries and two others in his car were uninjured.

    Charges are being considered.
