Anti-lock braking Systems are now compulsory on motorbikes

Anti-lock braking Systems are now compulsory on motorbikes

Changes to the Land Transport Rule mean all new motorbikes over 125cc must have ABS.

All those under 125cc must have ABS or a Combined Braking System.

ABS prevents a motorcycle's wheels locking up during braking.

International studies suggest ABS could reduce crashes by more than a third.
