    Two arrests have been made after a Police chase across Auckland ended in flames


    Police say the two offenders stole a vehicle from Hauraki on the North Shore about 5am and drove to Botany - even after being spiked.

    They say they dumped that vehicle and stole another - driving towards the airport, back into the city, then down the Southern Motorway.

    Police say the car caught fire as it approached the Princes Street off-ramp, and the occupants surrendered to officers.
