Five youths are in custody, accused of stealing a car, and speeding through Hawke's bay

Five youths are in custody, accused of stealing a car, and speeding through Hawke's bay

Police used road spikes on the vehicle, but chose not to pursue it because of its high speeds.

The youths were found climbing a hill, and the car found ditched in a field.

Police say the road spikes have gone missing - and they believe they've been picked up by a member of the public.
