Police are following up on hundreds of anti-social driving offences, over the long weekend.

Police are following up on hundreds of anti-social driving offences, over the long weekend.

Fifty vehicles were impounded and more than 900 infringement notices were dished out in Bay of Plenty, Manawatu, Wellington and Canterbury.

The Police helicopter Eagle kept an eye on things from above, as cops were out in force across a number of regions.

Superintendent Jeanette Park says this is not a new issue for Police.

She says Police advised people they would be out in force - so 900 infringement notices is just not good enough.
