Road safety advocates are rejoicing over the zero road toll, this Labour Day weekend

Road safety advocates are rejoicing over the zero road toll, this Labour Day weekend

It's the lowest ever for the three day period, with the previous being in 2013 when one person died and 109 were injured.

Automobile Association's road safety spokesperson Dylan Thomsen says there's multiple factors, contributing to this fantastic result.

He says the bad weather likely kept people from driving and there's more Police on the roads.

Dylan Thomsen says during tough economic times, crashes also fall because less people are travelling.
