A man's due in court this week, over dangerous burnouts in Lower Hutt

A man's due in court this week, over dangerous burnouts in Lower Hutt

Video shows the yellow car, almost hitting bystanders, as it spins around the intersection of Bunny Street and Queens Drive late Saturday night.

Police say they were alerted to the vehicle, around half an hour later, at the Melling Railway Station carpark.

They say the driver was arrested and had his vehicle impounded after he attempted to flee the area.

Two other people were taken into custody for obstruction.

The 24-year-old is facing three charges and will appear at the Lower Hutt District Court on Thursday.
