    A maiden pole position, and now a maiden win for Kiwi Supercars driver Ryan Wood at the Perth Super440


    Wood started behind Walkinshaw Andretti United teammate Chaz Mostert - but finished on top in the weekend's opening race from another Aussie, reigning champ Will Brown ... by just 0.6 of a second .

    And didn't it mean the world to the 21-year-old from Wellington ... on Sky Sport.



    And Wood's set to start on pole when the flag drops for today's second race at 8.10pm.
