The commission's annual report shows it's resolved 84 percent of remaining claims from the earthquakes over the past year
Its target was to have 98 percent of those claims resolved.
EQC managed to resolve more than eight thousand reopened claims - but at the same time, received more than six and a half thousand new ones.
The Commission is now trying to up its claim capacity to one thousand a month.
