It could be a turbulent weekend of weather for those in the North

Heavy rain watches and warnings are in place for Northland Saturday and Sunday.

There's also rain forecast for those in Auckland over the Labour weekend.

However the rest of the country looks to get decent weather.

MetService forecaster Lewis Ferris says it's not looking great for the North - but there could be some fine spells over the long weekend so people will just have to keep up with the forecast.
