Water enthusiasts are invited to have their say on a navigation safety bylaw in the Queenstown Lakes district

Water enthusiasts are invited to have their say on a navigation safety bylaw in the Queenstown Lakes district

The draft bylaw is aimed to manage safety on the district's waters and foreshore, so people can safely enjoy water activities.

The council says waterways are vital to the area, and ensuring navigation safety is top priority.

It says it's particularly interested in feedback on ski lane locations, vessel speed limits, rnd regulations for temporary water events.

Submissions close at the end of the month.
