People from all over New Zealand are descending on Hawke's Bay for the region's wine and food

People from all over New Zealand are descending on Hawke's Bay for the region's wine and food

Harvest Hawke's Bay festival is on today in the Tukituki Valley.

It's the first food and wine festival of Summer, despite some of the country's weather suggesting otherwise.

Event manager Liz Pollock says 60 percent of attendees are from outside of the region.

She says there are groups from Whangarei to Christchurch - and some from Australia.
