    Some rainbow-identifying students say they feel unsafe and unwelcome at polytechs


    A survey of more than 250 students across 14 campuses found about half faced negative on campus experiences because of their identity - including bullying, jokes, and mis-gendering.

    WelTec Researcher Lee Smith says many education sites can feel hostile for rainbow students - in vocational education as well as in university settings.
