    Meanwhile.. A winter storm is hammering the South of the US with snow and ice, causing major travel disruptions and power outages


    More than three thousands flights in and out of the US were cancelled yesterday, as the storm stretched over nearly every major airport in the South.

    The state of Atlanta's seen its biggest snow dump in seven years.
