    There are strong wind watches from MetService for parts of the South Island tomorrow


    In Fiordland, Stewart Island, and inland Southland and Otago from about 9am to 5pm, northwest winds may approach severe gale-force in exposed places.

    Winds will ease from the south during the afternoon.

    Along the Canterbury High Country and the foothills of the Canterbury Plains from 1 in the afternoon until after midnight, northwest winds may approach severe gale-force in exposed places, but begin easing from Sunday night.
