KiwiRail and Fonterra are celebrating a full return of rail volume to Northland

KiwiRail and Fonterra are celebrating a full return of rail volume to Northland

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
The dairy producer has ramped up its volume to sixteen wagons per day, ahead of the North Auckland Line's, September reopening.

KiwiRail has been making the line more weather-resilient -- including improving culverts and drainage, strengthening slip prone zones, and installing around 500 metres of retaining structures.

Fonterra spokesperson Santiago Aon, says it also supports their efforts to improve safety, reduce congestion and carbon emissions, and lower road maintenance costs.
