    The appointment for British legend Tim Brabants to a key Canoe Racing NZ high performance role has sparked dreams of a return to the halcyon days of Iain Ferguson and Paul MacDonald


    That duo were Olympic forces for New Zealand in the eighties but the New Zealand men's canoe racing has been in the doldrums in recent times unlike the successful women's programme.

    CEO Tom Ashley believes Beijing Olympic K1 1000 gold medalist Brabants will provide a big boost for our leading male kayakers.
