    Mikaela Shiffrin's at a loss to explain her Beijing Olympics failures


    The two-time gold medal winner crashed out early in the first runs of both the giant slalom and slalom, having come into the Games with hopes of adding to the haul.



    Eight titles will be decided at the Games today in alpine skiing, luge, freestyle skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, figure skating and speed skating.
