Rower Emma Twigg is avoiding underestimating her competition in the women's singles sculls

The Tokyo 2021 champion comfortably won her heat to qualify for the quarter-finals.

But Twigg's told Sky Sport that she knows she can't take her foot off the pedal.



Twigg's quarter-final is on Tuesday night.

Fellow single scullers Tom Mackintosh also won his heats to qualify for the quarters.

Both Kiwi double sculls pairings are through to those semifinals.
