    Rugby League great Darren Lockyer's excited to see some potential innovation from the NRL out of the Covid-19 pandemic

    The competition will return next week with a revised-20 round competition, as well as featuring one referee and a new ruck infringement rule.

    State of Origin will also be played in November after the season has concluded.

    Lockyer says it allows the game to experiment.
