The likely delay of the Australian tennis Open will have an impact on the Breakers and the ANBL

The likely delay of the Australian tennis Open will have an impact on the Breakers and the ANBL

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Victorian government has indicated the grand slam will likely be pushed back into February.

That will force a re-think of the schedule for the ANBL as both the South East Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne United play their home games at Melbourne Arena within the tennis grand slam's grounds.

Breaker owner Matt Walsh says, that shouldn't impact the start of the competition.

The New Zealand based players will play in the All Star Celeb Slam in Auckland tonight.
