    A former Warrior is in line to take over from Adam O'Brien as Newcastle's next NRL league coach

    He is set to depart by mutual consent at the end of the season - the Knights are currently 16th with six wins from 22 games.

    Blake Green is reportedly the front-runner to succeed O'Brien.

    The 38-year-old played 55 games for the Warriors between 2018 and 2020.
