    The Breakers are playing the long game


    The Auckland basketball club has today released Corey Webster to play the remainder of the season for Guangsha in the Chinese Basketball Association.

    But at the same time announced Webster had signed a three-season extension with the Breakers.

    Owner Matt Walsh says while coach Dan Shamir is gutted to lose one of his best players, the team is struggling in the Australian basketball league so he understands it's a good deal going forward.
