    The Celtics have one hand firmly on an 18th championship in basketball's NBA


    They've held off the Mavericks 106 to 99 in game three of the Finals in Dallas - taking a 3-nil lead in the best-of-seven series.

    Boston had to overcome a fiery Mavs comeback - after leading by 21 points early in the fourth quarter.

    Celtics guard Derrick White admits it was a tight call for his team and coach Joe Mazzulla - on ESPN.



    Teams are 156 and 0 all-time when leading 3-nil in a best-of-seven series.
