    Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving has undergone surgery to repair a broken left hand


    The Mavericks say the eight-time NBA All-Star sustained the injury in training earlier this month.

    Irving managed a hand injury last season while helping Dallas to the Finals, where they lost to Boston.
