    Defeat for light heavyweight boxer Jerome Pampellone in his bid to claim the WBA interim world title


    The fighter out of West Auckland's Peach Boxing has eventually been stopped in the seventh round of his bout with undefeated Venezuelan Albert Ramirez in Libya.

    Pampellone started the fight strongly, but went to the canvas at the end of the sixth round and twice in the seventh before trainer Isaac Peach threw in the towel.
