    One of New Zealand cricket's first big-hitting batsmen has died


    Jock Edwards, who was famed for his power with the bat in the 1970s and 1980s, has passed away aged 64.

    Edwards, who also kept wicket, played eight tests and six ODIs for his country, while he was a Hawke Cup regular for Nelson including in their successful reign of that era.
