New Zealand Cricket will go to market for at least one Black Caps coach

New Zealand Cricket will go to market for at least one Black Caps coach

The national men's side will have to install a new white-ball mentor after Gary Stead's decision to step away from those formats at the expiry of his contract in June.

Stead has asked for more time to decide if he wants to remain test coach - planning to go upstairs to the DRS to his wife, family and other confidantes over the coming weeks.

New Zealand Cricket will list the role shortly, but are open-minded over whether they will allow a split coaching model for the first time.
