Sydney Thunder duo Daniel Sams and Cameron Bancroft have been taken to hospital following a sickening clash of heads during a four-wicket, final-ball Aussie Big Bash victory over the Perth Scorchers

Sydney Thunder duo Daniel Sams and Cameron Bancroft have been taken to hospital following a sickening clash of heads during a four-wicket, final-ball Aussie Big Bash victory over the Perth Scorchers

Both players were running at full pace from opposite directions in a bid to catch a skied shot when they collided while lunging for the ball.

    Both players are conscious.

New Zealand's Finn Allen cracked 68 off 31 balls for the Scorchers while compatriot Lockie Ferguson went none for 39 off his four overs for the Thunder.
