Women's Black Sticks in form again with win over Japan at Tri-Nations tournament

The women's Black Sticks team have struck form once again with a convincing 4-1 win over Japan at the Tri-Nations tournament in Cromwell

Bar a late baby arrival, Roger Tuivasa Sheck will make his return to the Warriors.

The skipper missed the NRL win over the Parramatta Eels, with his fiance due to give birth to their first child.

While there still isn't a baby, Tuivasa-Sheck has been included in the 21-man squad to face the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday.

Coach Stephen Kearney says if that changes, centre Pita Hiku is capable of slotting in there again.

In other changes, Gerard Beale shifts back to the extended bench to accommodate Hiku at centre, while Simon Mannering moves from the bench to start at second row.

Ben Smith's all smiles after returning to the All Blacks environment.

The Highlanders fullback has linked up with his national teammates for the first time since last August's Bledisloe Cup in Dunedin.

Smith then went on a sabbatical for the rest of the season.

He says he's got a new perspective.

The three day All Blacks camp has wrapped up today in Auckland.

The Crusaders may have another prop about to join the unavailable list.

Following the suspensions of Joe Moody and Owen Franks in consecutive weeks, loosehead prop Tim Perry has suffered a hamstring strain at All Blacks camp.

Crusaders medical staff will assess him over the coming days ahead of Friday's Super Rugby match against the Hurricanes.

Perry would have been expected to again start in the number one jumper, with Wyatt Crockett now likely to fill that role.

A third serious injury in four years for Mainland Tactix netball captain Jess Maclennan.

The defender suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury to her right knee in last week's ANZ Premiership loss to the Central Pulse.
