India's women's side has pulled off one of the great women's hockey upsets in the history of the Olympics, beating Australia 1-nil in the quarter-finals

Playing in only their third Olympics, and ranked ninth to the Hockeyroos' second - India were given little chance against an Australian side that had won all five games and conceded just one goal to reach the final eight.

But they scored the games' only goal on the 22nd minute to stun the highly fancied Australians.
