The one-test All Black returned to his preferred position of first-five in the Super Rugby Aotearoa loss to the Blues, having struggled with a groin injury, and playing in other positions during the campaign.
He concedes it'll take a bit to get back into the swing of things.
The Highlanders are away to the Crusaders this afternoon.
