The return to covid-19 level 3 in Auckland spells sporting uncertainty again

The 9:15pm announcement puts the Blues-Crusaders re-match at Eden Park on Sunday in doubt.

Under level 3, the Blues are unable to train from midday today - they were or are due to train this morning at their HQ.

Even if Auckland is accelerated out of level 3 to level 1, the sold out game seems unlikely to go ahead as scheduled.

The Blues are awaiting further advice and plan to comment today.

The Mystics' ANZ Premiership netball game on Friday night against cross-town rivals the Stars at Auckland's Trusts Arena appears doomed, and the home game on Saturday against the Magic is under scrutiny.
