    It's fair to say very little stands in the way of Leon MacDonald and a contract renewal at the Blues


    MacDonald's stocks have risen following the Auckland-based franchise's Super Rugby Trans-Tasman final win over the Highlanders at Eden Park.

    But he's off contract at the end of the year.

    When asked if there may be a few more zeros on the end of MacDonald's pay, Blues CEO Andrew Hore elected to be a bit ambiguous.



    MacDonald gave a more direct answer about where contract negotiations are at.
