Joseph Manu has begun his code switch from league to union

The 28-year-old's arrived in Japan for pre-season after a full NRL campaign with the Roosters.

The Japanese club season begins in December.

First on the to-do list for Manu at the Steve Hansen-coached Toyota Verblitz has been an introduction to his team-mates with the support of a translator.



The same video indicated scrum guru Mike Cron - who's been working with the Wallabies - and mental skills coach Gilbert Enoka are assisting Hansen.



Manu will be among several absentees from the Kiwis side that won the Pacific Championships last year when Stacey Jones reveals his squad this morning for their title defence.

Briton Nikora, Ronaldo Mulitalo, Dylan Brown and Kieran Foran are injured.
