Roigard boosts the Steelers as they face their local rivals on Saturday, as one of 13 All Blacks released for action.
Auckland have the services of Rieko Ioane and Caleb Clarke, but have delayed the formal naming of their side until tomorrow due to injuries.
Peter Lakai, Ruben Love and Kyle Preston will all start for Wellington when they face Southland, while Otago will roll out George Bower off the bench for their Ranfurly Shield challenge against Canterbury.
Anton Lienert-Brown, Luke Jacobson and Samipeni Finau will come off the reserves for Waikato against a Tasman side featuring Leicester Fainga'anuku starting at second five.
Josh Lord will start for Taranaki against Hawke's Bay and Pasilio Tosi will start for Bay of Plenty against Manawatu.
